One Snowy Day

Click here to enlarge the image

After a wave of snow drifted across North Devon every thing stopped as you’d expect it to in the UK. The schools closed and public transport completely disabled because of the weather, but what a lovely change.

According to the weather reports it has been nearly 18 years since we had snow like this in Devon, and for the children and those of us that don’t or can’t go to work then what a wonderful time seeing snow in Devon.

I know that snow is unusual in some part of the world and I know that some people hate it because of the mayhem that it causes but here in North Devon it an unusual sight, when most of the rest of the country is braved in snow normally it misses us completely. Apart from on the moors, but today we’ve had our own share.

No doubt it will be gone as quickly as it came but watching the children playing in the snow, building snow men and just having fun being children then its worth the havoc that it can cause. What a wonderful day.
