MS Oldenburg is Lundy’s own ship that transports visitors to Lundy Island, the Oldenburg is a comfortable graceful motor ship and was built on traditional lines, over the years she has been skillfully modernized to provide an information centre, heated bar, buffet and a shop. The MS Oldenburg can carry approximately 260 passengers and sails from Bideford or Ilfracombe during the summer months (April to October), the crossing usually takes about two hours depending on tide and the weather. The MS Oldenburg is available for private charter so whether it’s a cruise to Lundy, an evening river cruise from Bideford or a coastal cruise from Ilfracombe, then a trip on the MS Oldenburg is a must for anybody visiting Devon.
