If you’re looking for a beach holiday then Devon has some of the cleanest beaches in the UK, to show this accolade many them are often awarded prestigious blue flag. We have the vast three mile long expanse of sand at Saunton Sands, which backs on to some impressive sand dunes, to the beach at the historic fishing harbour village of Clovelly. If you don’t fancy a beach holiday and would like to see some of Devon’s areas of outstanding natural beauty, then why not plan your holiday in the heart of the county. Devon has two national parks. In North Devon you will find Exmoor National park, and in the heart of Devon you’ll find Dartmoor National park, both parks are renowned for their vast natural moorlands and wildlife. Both National parks have an array of things to see and do from beautiful walks along the West Lyn River in Lynmouth to exploring Dartmoor.
If the beach or countryside isn’t really your thing, then you can visit the cities of Exeter or Plymouth. Both cities have a vast array of shops to whet any ones appetite. At Plymouth you will find Drakes Circus shopping centre. This shopping complex was first opened in 2006 and is one of the largest shopping centers this side of Bristol.
